While I make no claim to being an expert about birds, I've definitely found I have an interest. Now if I could just get them to cooperate with me and my camera! We did enjoy waiting for the new babies to make their appearance last spring. My husband and I walk a nearby wetland park and were able to monitor a number of nests that were situated adjacent to the trail system. It was the highlight of our day.
