It was so encouraging to see the earliest blooms of spring this year. Spring is a bit capricious though with surprise snowfalls and cooler weather from time to time. The daffodils in my yard seemed to like the cooler temperatures and favoured us with a lovely showing this year. The ornamental plum tree was packed with blooms - seemingly so close together they hardly had room to open! We did get out to explore the wild flowering trees near the local wetlands park. And also discovered a park in nearby St. Albert that we had never been to before where there was a whole grove of flowering trees.
