Most of the butterflies in my collection of images are from tropical locations brought to us through local butterfly houses. I think they are amazing creatures with such intricate patterns and striking colors on their wings. They don’t have a very long life span so it is particularly exciting to arrive at a butterfly house just after a new batch has hatched.
